Small wins are the proof that big things are possible—don’t overlook them

"Small wins are the proof that big things are possible—don’t overlook them."

Progress doesn’t always look the way we expect. Sometimes it’s not a giant leap forward but a small, almost imperceptible step. But those small wins? They’re the foundation of transformation.

After waking from my coma, my first small win was sitting up in bed for the first time. It took two therapists to help me balance as my muscles trembled, sweat poured down my face, and frustration boiled over. My body, which once felt invincible, now felt foreign and uncooperative. But when I finally managed to hold myself upright, even for just a few seconds, it was like planting a flag on the first foothold of a mountain. That small victory reminded me that progress, no matter how small, is still progress.

Regardless of where you are in your journey, take a moment to celebrate the small victories. They’re not just steps forward—they’re proof that you’re capable of moving forward, even when the road feels long.

What’s a small win you’re proud of?
